Renewal BLS: $80.00. Duration is 1.5 hours. Nursing CEU’s: 1.5
BLS is a comprehensive course that focuses on teaching participants the fundamental life-saving skills to help people experiencing cardiac arrest, respiratory arrest or an airway obstruction. After completing this course, participants will have the knowledge and feel confident in their abilities to perform lifesaving skills.
This course includes:
- The AHA Chain of Survival
- High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
- Important early use of an AED

- Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults, children, and infants
Participants who have never taken BLS should take the initial class. During the initial class, AHA videos will be shown and each section will require the participants to practice hands-on skills. The initial course is more comprehensive, providing a more in-depth exploration of material, techniques and practices, making the approach and duration longer than the renewal classes.
During the renewal classes participants will review the material in a PowerPoint presentation, AHA videos, and practice their cognitive and psychomotor skills through small-group case scenarios.

They will also have the opportunity for more simulation to learn and practice their cognitive and psychomotor skills.

What is Heart Code
Blended learning is called HeartCode. It is a combination of eLearning, in which a student completes part of the course in a self-directed manner online at their convenience, followed by a hands-on skills session. The hands-on skills session is completed in person with an AHA instructor . Please contact KSRN Certification LLC to schedule the hands-on skills portion.
