What are in-person classes?
The in-person classes are completed in person and there is no online portion to the class to complete before coming to class.
What is blended learning?
Blended learning combines the flexibility of online learning with on-site skills practice and testing. The student will receive a certificate once they complete the AHA online class (HeartCode).
What is a HeartCode class?
HeartCode is a blended learning class which has two parts. First the student takes the online portion where they receive a certificate upon successful completion. Next, they must meet with an AHA instructor to perform the hands-on skills portion. Only then can they get their AHA E-card for the class.

What is the difference between the AHA HeartCode the blended learning class versus an in-person class?
AHA HeartCode classes are divided into two parts. The student completes the online portion at their convenience and then coordinates with KSRN Certifications, LLC to complete the hands-on skills portion. There are two separate costs for this. The student pays AHA the fee for the online class session and hands-on skills portion fee is paid to KSRN Certifications, LLC.
What are the benefits of taking the in-person class?
During the in-person class the student will actively participate in class. They have the opportunity to ask questions, knowledge share and learn from the instructor and other students. They also have the benefit of interacting with their peers during the small group case scenarios, expanding their cognitive and psychomotor skills.
What is the benefit of taking a HeartCode class?
The students complete the online training at their own pace and convenience, which may help organizations overcome scheduling obstacles and time constraints.
